Please join me in welcoming Kelly Purkey to our STAMPtember™ celebrations! Kelly is a beautifully talented and avid scrapbooker, blogger, and designer.
Documenting her life while living in New York City, she doesn't follow trends, she sets them! In fact, several of our Simon Says Stamptember stamps have been designed by Kelly. Below, she shows us some fabulous examples how scrapbookers effectively incorporate stamps into their projects.
A word from Kelly:
Getting caught up on my Project Life album (I have only, oh say, twenty or so weeks to go back and catch up on!) can be challenging but putting together a single spread for week Thirty-Four was a lot of fun. I wanted to really play and incorporate some of my new Kelly Purkey stamps, so I pulled out lots of ink pads and got to work. I started by sketching out what would fit in which pocket, then printed the photos and the journaling bits. I used the stamps on both patterned paper and the photos.
I like the Ranger archival inks and StazOn because they allow you to stamp directly on photos without smearing.
To create some fun embellishments, I stamped on washi tape, cardstock, and even created a double layer skyline using the cute Paper Smooches buildings with a mask. I hope this inspires you a bit to add some fun little Kelly Purkey designs into your next Project Life week!
You can find Kelly Purkey stamps at Simon Says Stamp! Be sure to check out her blog (she just might have a fantabulous coupon code for you to use at Simon on the stamps she designed) WAHOOO! Thanks Kelly!
